Throughout my life it has been my dream of having a career that would have a positive impact in people’s lives. I began this path at university and enrolling in an engineering field that offered me a direct role in people’s health. The U.S. Friends of Chalmers Scholarship allowed me to further pursue this field at a graduate level at Chalmers and from this program I was able to advance to a career in medical research.

Always having a love for architecture and the environment, I knew I wanted to combine both passions in my career. The U.S. Friends of Chalmers Scholarship gave me the opportunity to study my Masters in one of the most forward thinking countries in the world. My time at Chalmers was truly one of my greatest and most insightful experiences. Now, being part of CAAI helps me maintain that connection to the school and to the people!

Chalmers Program: M.Sc. Applied Acoustics

My time at Chalmers was a life-changing experience. I had never left the U.S. before coming to Sweden to study in 2018. Many things have changed in the world since that time. I am forever grateful to the U.S. Friends of Chalmers organization and the scholarship I received that allowed me to live out my dream. I am especially thankful to my scholarship donor, Bo Hedfors. Without the generosity of the alumni in this organization, I would never have had such a fantastic experience. I look forward to many more wonderful experiences with wonderful people.
